North Douglas Elementary School's Counseling Program is designed to help support and work collaboratively with ALL stakeholders in our school community.
There are many activities, services and community outreach programs that support students' growth, foster students' self-worth and maintain high student expectations,

To provide a safe, health and happy learning environment. To assist students in overcoming obstacles that encumber enthusiastic learning and to strive to provide a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses the academic, career and personal/social aspects of ALL students at North Douglas Elementary.

The school counselor works together with parents, teachers, administrators and all other stakeholders to help each student achieve academically, emotionally and socially.
- The school counselor provides support to teachers and students through classroom guidance, individual and group counseling
- The school counselor provides opportunities for students to explore and develop an understanding of college and career readiness, and the relevance now and into their future.
- The school counselor provides proactive and student centered services for positive student development

Douglas County School System provides many opportunities for the community to help and support our schools. One of those opportunities is to mentor students. The MATCH mentoring program is looking for people who are willing to dedicate some of their valuable time to our valuable students.
